The Phase 2 proposal was guided by input from transportation professionals and community stakeholders. It outlines improvements to the public transportation network in North Cook County that include streamlined routes, increased frequency on arterial roads, reduced waiting times, better connections to CTA trains, and updated service to Loyola Academy, Regina Dominican High School and New Trier (Northfield). The proposal includes changes to Routes 215, 225, 226, 422, and 423; the addition of a new Route 424; and the discontinuation of Routes 210 and 421. The proposal can be reviewed here with details about the proposed service to Loyola, Regina and New Trier (Northfield) here.
In January and February, Pace held 6 public hearings in Chicago, Glenview, Niles, Northbrook, Evanston and Wilmette to solicit public input on the proposed service changes and received over 1000 comments. Staff has been working on revising the initial proposal to incorporate the comments and we will post an update when work can resume.
